Mathews ready to accept leadership role.
Jayawardene accepted the post reluctantly in January, and has seemed eager to be rid of the reins ever since.
Mathews who is already Sri Lanka's T20 captain says, that he thinks this is totally up to the selectors, and if they think he’s ready for the captaincy, then he is.
However, he added that at the moment, it doesn't really matter since Mahela's been a great captain for years, but if the selectors think he’s ready - it's up to them
